Bhai Dooj 2027 (Yama Dwitiya) is celebrated two days after Diwali, honoring the loving bond between brothers and sisters. The legend says Yamuna welcomed her brother Yama with a tilak and feast, and he declared any brother receiving tilak from his sister on this day would be protected. Sisters apply tilak and pray for their brother's long life and happiness.
