Jagannath Ratha Yatra 2026 is one of the oldest and grandest religious processions in the world, originating from the Jagannath Temple in Puri, Odisha. Three massive chariots carrying the deities Lord Jagannath (a form of Vishnu/Krishna), his brother Balabhadra, and sister Subhadra are pulled through the streets by millions of devotees. The English word 'juggernaut' derives from 'Jagannath'. The yatra represents the Lord's annual journey to visit the Gundicha Temple, his aunt's home.
