Kamika Ekadashi falls on the 11th day of the dark fortnight (Krishna Paksha) of Shravan month. According to the Brahma Vaivarta Purana, observing this fast washes away all sins, including those equivalent to Brahmahatya (killing a Brahmin). Lord Vishnu is worshipped with Tulsi leaves, which are especially sacred during this Ekadashi.
