The Anatomy of a Complete Compatibility Report
Most couples who ask for a "compatibility report" are handed a score out of 36 and a verdict. That is the summary of a reading, not the reading — and it is the reason so many families end up arguing about a number nobody can explain. A complete report shows its working: which koota passed, why it passed, which one failed and whether a cancellation applies.
This page sets out what a full compatibility report contains, so you can judge any reading you are given — including the free ones on this site — against a standard. Everything that can be computed from birth details is already available here at no cost; what a paid, human reading adds is judgement about a specific couple, and timing.
What the Free Tools Already Cover
Guna Milan, the ten poruthams, the nakshatra-based doshas and their cancellations, Mangal dosha, Bhakoot cancellation, marriage timing from the dasha, and the year's muhurat windows are all computed here from real birth data or real nakshatras. These are deterministic calculations — the same tables every astrologer uses — and there is no reason to pay for arithmetic.
What the free tools deliberately do not do is interpret. A calculated flag is not a verdict, and a calculator cannot know that a couple has been together for six years, that one family insists on a particular month, or that a dosha in this chart has always behaved mildly in practice.
What a Human Reading Adds
Judgement. An astrologer reads the two charts as one system: how the 7th lord in one chart answers the 7th house in the other, whether the doshas that appear are functional or nominal in that particular configuration, and how the two dashas interlock across the next few years. That is where experience shows, and it is not something a matching table can produce.
Timing and preparation. A good reading ends with a plan: which year, which months, which muhurat window, which pariharam before the wedding, and what to watch in the first years. This is the practical output families actually need.
How to Commission One Sensibly
Run the free calculations first and bring the results with you. Note the kootas that failed, the doshas flagged, and whether the birth times are precise. An astrologer given a complete, accurate set of birth details and a specific question will always give a better reading than one asked to "check the match" from two names.
If a birth time is doubtful, have it rectified before commissioning anything house-based — otherwise you will pay for a reading built on an ascendant that may be wrong.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the compatibility report on this site paid?
No. Every calculation on this site is free: Guna Milan, porutham, dosha checks, marriage timing and the muhurat calendar. There is no checkout on this page — if you want a human reading, use the contact page and we will tell you what is available.
What should a full compatibility report contain?
The eight kootas with reasoning, dosha findings with their cancellations, both charts compared house by house, dasha timing for marriage, a remedy plan, and a muhurat window. Anything less is a summary rather than a report.
Can I get a report without the birth time?
Only the nakshatra-based half — kootas and the Moon-based doshas. House-based analysis, Mangal dosha and dasha timing all need the birth time, and rectification is the practical answer when it is missing.
Do I need a paid reading if the free matching is good?
Not necessarily. If both kootas and doshas are clear, the free calculation has told you what it can. A human reading becomes valuable when something is flagged, when the charts disagree, or when you need timing.
How accurate are the free calculations?
They apply the classical tables: the ten poruthams, the eight kootas, the standard dosha rules and the documented cancellation conditions. Accuracy then depends on your inputs — an uncertain nakshatra or birth time will propagate into the result.
