What is Kundali Matching?
Kundali Matching, also known as Guna Milanor Horoscope Matching, is an ancient Vedic practice used to determine the compatibility between a prospective bride and groom. For thousands of years, it has been the cornerstone of Hindu marriages, acting as a spiritual and psychological blueprint for a couple's future life together. The system is based on the Ashtakoot Milan method โ an 8-factor analysis that assigns 36 points (Gunas) across different aspects of compatibility.
Each of the 8 Kootas measures a different dimension of the relationship โ from spiritual alignment and temperament to physical intimacy and genetic compatibility. The final score out of 36 determines whether the union is astrologically auspicious. While a minimum of 18 out of 36 is generally considered acceptable, scores above 25 indicate excellent compatibility. Importantly, the system also identifies Doshas(inauspicious planetary combinations) like Mangal Dosha and Nadi Dosha, and provides cancellation rules that can nullify these afflictions.
